Kog Transmissions in association with Low Profile are proud to announce the release of Shapeshifters debut album "Real Time".
The Christchurch four piece have established themselves as the most devastating live dance act in New Zealand, receiving a nomination for Best Live Act at this years b-net awards, as well as a nomination for Best Electronic Release for the D.N.A e.p, released earlier this year. The boys took home the Best New Act award last year, with their fresh approach to 'dance culture' leaving audiences amazed from Whangarei to Invercargill.
Guests on the album include Kaps (Fabel) and Tiki (Salmonella Dub) on production, and the sweet vocals of Lady 6 (Sheelahroc).
Shapeshifter have toured New Zealand extensively, both themselves and as part of Salmonellas national Killervision tour.
They have headlined the Radio One "nefest" , the Gatherings drum and bass zone, and pulled off a stunning performance at bFM's private function last year.
They are able to pull a crowd in any town in New Zealand. All the members of Shapeshifter attended the Christchurch Jazz School, and are as comfortable behind a saxophone as they are behind a sampler. Shapeshifter have only been a unit for 2 years, but their diversity and raw talent has already resulted in a very mature sound.
Shapeshifter have announced the release date of their 5th studio album, Delta, to be released on May 31st 2013.
